By Mac Barnett, Jory John
Two master pranksters, once rivals and now partners, take on the toughest principal the school has ever seen.
Miles and Niles are the two best pranksters at Yawnee Valley Science and Letters Academy, and now that they've stopped competing and started working together, no principal is safe. Then disaster strikes: Principal Barkin is booted out and replaced by his own father, the terrifying Former Principal Barkin, a legend who rules with total, joyless authority. To take him down, the boys will have to pull off their most elaborate prank yet — and maybe do the unthinkable and team up with a Barkin. Told with cartoons, prank fun-facts, and a running gag about cows.
For a Wimpy Kid fan who reads for the comedy and the pictures, this keeps that exact format — lots of cartoons, short chapters, jokes on every page — but the pranks are clever, more heist than doodle. It's the lightest, most purely fun book on the trail, so it works as a breather between the meatier ones, and there's a whole series to binge if it clicks. A little smarter and sneakier than the diary books, without asking for more emotional heavy lifting.
