The Mario game your child already loves, turned into a comic they'll actually sit and read.
Bowser kidnaps Princess Toadstool, and Mario and Luigi chase him all over the Mushroom Kingdom to get her back. Along the way Luigi falls head over heels for the Princess, Yoshi shows up to help, and everything goes as gleefully sideways as it does in the games. It first ran in Nintendo Power, so it reads like the game your child plays.
It meets a game-obsessed child exactly where they already are. The people on the page are the people on their screen, the pictures carry most of the story, and the jokes land fast, so the reading feels like more play rather than homework.
