This is a short, rhyming tour of the bugs living right outside the door. Some bugs sting and some bugs bite, some hide, some jump, some swim, some glow. Brendan Wenzel draws them big and bright, crawling all over one family's garden, and every page adds a few more until the yard is happily swarming. It finishes by sending your child straight outside to go hunting for bugs of their own.
It takes the whole messy world of bugs and makes it a game a two- or three-year-old can play. The rhymes are short and the pictures are packed, so a bug-loving child gets to point and name and count on every spread.
