A fairy tale where a prince and a brave knight fight a dragon together and fall in love.
A prince is next in line for the throne, so his parents take him traveling to find him a bride. He meets plenty of kind princesses, but none of them is quite right. Then a dragon threatens the kingdom, the soldiers all run, and the prince rushes home to fight it. A knight in shining armor turns up to fight alongside him, and when the battle is won and the helmet comes off, the prince finally finds the person he's been looking for. The whole kingdom cheers, and the two get married.
It's a straight-up fairy tale, told in rhyme, with a dragon and armor and a happy ending. The only thing that's different is that the prince falls for a knight instead of a princess, and the book doesn't make a speech about it. There's no lesson to sit through and nothing scary. If you've got a child who loves dragons and castles, this reads exactly like the ones they already know, which is the point.
