A toddler spends an ordinary, cozy day with both mommies, from playtime to a goodnight kiss.
A little one goes through a whole happy day with Mommy and Mama: hide-and-seek, dress-up, splashing in the bath, and finally a bedtime story and a kiss goodnight. That's the entire book, and for a toddler that's plenty. The gentle rhyme rolls from one small moment to the next, the way a real day with a very young child actually does.
It does what the very best board books do: shows a small child their own day back to them, in a sturdy little package that survives being chewed and dropped. If your family has two moms, this is one of the few books at this age that simply reflects that without any fuss. If it doesn't, it's still just a warm rhyme about a good day, easy to love either way.
