The five-minute bedtime book — Baby Llama gets a little worried after lights-out, and Mama comes right back.
Mama Llama tucks Baby Llama in, kisses him goodnight, and heads downstairs. Then the worrying starts. He calls out, he waits, he frets himself all the way up into full 'llama drama' — until Mama comes back, holds him, and reminds him she's never very far away.
It's short, it rhymes, and it's about the exact thing that's happening right now — a little one alone in bed after the goodnight kiss. So it does double duty. It's a five-minute story, and it's a small rehearsal of the thing every toddler wrestles with, ending in the reassurance they most need to hear. The bounce of the rhyme makes it easy to join in, which is how a child who won't sit for stories gets hooked on one.
