The set takes that world and spreads it across ten short readers, each one working on a single sound — the short vowels first, then up from there — plus two workbooks where your child sounds words out and tries writing them. Under the costume it's really a phonics program, so the practice comes with a laugh on most pages.
If your child is still figuring out that letters make sounds, this takes them one sound at a time so nothing piles up too fast, and the gross fly keeps them reaching for the next little book.
