The world's out of power, so obviously it's up to a crew of cats in spacesuits to fix it.
The whole world is about to run out of energy, and the smartest plan anyone can come up with is to build a solar power plant on the moon. Enter the CatStronauts, a four-cat crew of astronauts who have to actually pull off the mission, if they can stop bickering and remember to pack enough snacks.
This is the gentlest, funniest landing spot on the trail: cats in tiny spacesuits solving a world crisis, with a joke on nearly every page. There's a sneaky amount of real space and science tucked inside the silliness, so a child picks up a little without ever noticing. It's short, it's bright, and it's a whole series, which makes it a lovely low-pressure pick for a younger reluctant reader, or a palate-cleanser between the trail's bigger adventures.
